When is a drumloop not a drumloop? When it’s a Groove Dimension loop! Top LA film score artist Thomas Schobel, known for his work on “Bump in the Night”, laid down beats from funky grooves to angular avant garde rhythms;
but that’s just the source material. He then crushed and mutated each loop using state-of-the-art DSP technology and proprietary algorithms. The result: other-worldly drums, dub-infused pulsations, gritty lo-fi beats, and electronic crashing caterwauls that are anything but ordinary.
